What does the free allowance include?
100 abandoned carts and 200 recovery emails per month (typically 2 emails per cart). No credit card required to start.
How do I start on Free quickly?
Use Install free now (enter your .myshopify.com domain) or open the listing on the Shopify App Store. Both paths land you on the Free plan first.
How am I billed?
Paid plans are charged per month through Shopify Billing inside Shopify Admin. You do not enter a separate card on whaleal.com.
Will I get surprise charges if I exceed the quota?
No. When you hit the plan quota, recovery sends pause for that billing period. We do not auto-charge overages. Upgrade only if you want more capacity.
Can I change or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from the app billing screen in Shopify Admin. The Free plan remains available after canceling a paid plan.
Is Free a timed trial?
No. Free is an ongoing plan—not a countdown trial. Move to Growth or Pro only when volume needs it.
