Connect your own Twilio account
The largest CPaaS by reach, and the most mature US long-code, short-code and A2P ecosystem. If you already run on Twilio, connecting it here changes nothing about your account or your bill.
What you need from Twilio
Gather these in the Twilio portal first. The connection form asks for exactly these fields and nothing more.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| accountSid | Account SID. From your Twilio Console dashboard. |
| authToken | Auth Token. The account-level token, not an API key pair. |
Credentials are sealed with AES-256-GCM and the console only ever shows a masked value afterwards. Plaintext is never written to logs and never sent back to the browser.
What we configure on the connection
- Sender numbers. One or more Twilio numbers or Messaging Service senders.
- Default send pacing: 1 message per second. This is a conservative starting point, applied per connection, and you can change it at any time. Your real ceiling is set by Twilio — check your account quota and raise the value to match.
Why teams pick Twilio
- Widest country coverage of any provider we integrate
- Mature US long-code / short-code / A2P registration paths
- Same account, same console, same invoice — we never sit in between
Worth knowing
- Our default pacing starts at 1 message/second per connection. Your real quota depends on your Twilio account tier and number type, so raise it in the console once you know it.
- Twilio rate-limits per sending number, not per account. If you bind several numbers to one connection, raise the pacing accordingly.
What stays on your side
These are yours to hold — and that is the point of bringing your own account: the relationship, the rates and the compliance stay in your name, not ours.
- Account approval, credit checks and arrears
- Sender ID, number and short-code registration for each destination
- Local telecom and privacy compliance in the countries you send to, including opt-out rules
- The quotas and rate limits Twilio grants your account
